SPATIALIZATION and MUSEUM EXPERIENCE

OKUS LOKUS is the formula that allows all other formulas to be spatialised according to a place and its architecture.

More precisely, it concerns museums and the works of art that reside there.

Here is a FORMULA to ILLUMINATE, SUBLIMATE and make your museums, your places or your architectures dance.

In the past, OKUS Lab has explored these museum dynamics in various forms:

– DANCE SHOW, PERFORMANCE AND VIDEO-MAPPING,

– CHOREOGRAPHIC WANDERINGS IN MUSEUMS,

– VIDEO INSTALLATION,

– VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTPIECE.

Description

The first two museum projects were the shows called “The Arena Of Shadows” at the Musée de la Vie Wallonne (2014-2015).

Based on the concept “OKUS PENDULUM”, combining darkness, torch and science of movement, we highlighted the Cristal Discovery Musée Val Saint Lambert and a glass sculpture by the artist Bernard Tirtiaux present in this museum. This presentation was made in a photographic and video format and in the form of a video installation. (See below)

We have recently deepened this museum dynamic with a 1st performance combining dance (solo) and projected video, presented at the MUDAM (Museum of Modern Art Luxembourg) in 2019 (see below).

This solo performance has been adapted, but this time in connection with the monumental works created by the sculptor Idel Ianchelevici, within the MILL MUSEUM.

We have also just won with OKUS PENDULUM the 1st prize of a competition “Museum experience and sensory journey” organised by C2L3PLAY in association with the Louvre Museum in Lens.

We were thus able to acquire a certain expertise in the use of dance, movement and visual art within a museum and in interaction with its public.
